now reading: Louisa May Alcott’s ‘Little Women’

UPDATE: Finished! This classic remains a delightful read, some dated attitudes notwithstanding. Alcott understood the conflicts women endure when what culture tells us we’re supposed to want is at odds with what our hearts and souls and minds tell us we actually need.

I’ve read this before, of course, though not in many, many years. Catching up with it again before I see Greta Gerwig’s new movie adaptation.
