where's my rent bailout?

| | comments (3)

Just wondering. If I stop paying my rent today, I can haz bailout too?

Perhaps I should have bought a house a few years with no money down and financed it at 125 percent of the purchase price. Then I'd be sittin' pretty in a nice house today, and I wouldn't even have to pay for it!

Looks like I may have been an enormous fool to have paid down my credit card debt over the last few years, too.

I guess fiscal responsibility is unAmerican.

I'm sure I'll get to enjoy the massive inflation to come in the next few years, though. At least I won't miss out on that -- it's gonna be so much fun!

It's actually not inflation you have to worry about it. Some inflation is expected in healthy economy. It's deflation you have to worry about: Who's Afraid of Lower Prices?
Whichever. It's gonna be a blast!

That might explain why the people in my life who have most emphasized frugality have been Korean and Mexican immigrants.
