something to be thankful for

My brother Ken sent me this a few days ago, and with his permission, I'm going to share his words with you:

My friend Maia's brother, Jordi, is spending the next week with some friends traveling the 48 continental United States, and walking a mile in each of them. The impetus behind this is that he was diagnosed with MS a few years ago, and his condition is slowly claiming his ability to walk and his eyesight, so he wanted to see the country while he still can. They just completed their walk in New York this morning. Links below go to Jordi's blog (his initial entry about the trip), which he's updating throughout their journey, and one of his traveling companion's twitter updates.

Eyesight and mobility aren't something you normally think to give thanks for at Thanksgiving, but something to keep in mind this year.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. And to everyone who's not celebrating Thanksgiving, happy happy happy anyway.
