"Woman, 44, gives birth to her 18th child in Canada

That's a headline from the Associated Press this morning.

(Americans do this too!)

Rather disturbing is this bit from the AP piece:

Their 17 other children range in age from 20 months to 23 years old.

So this woman's body hadn't really recovered from her last childbirth before she was pregnant again. And that's probably not the first time that's happened for her.

But this is what I wanted to highlight, from the father of those 18 kids:

"We never planned how many children to have. We just let God guide our lives, you know, because we strongly believe life comes from God and that's the reason we did not stop the life," said Alexandru Ionce.

It's pretty funny that this God person, who is supposedly so powerful and loves life and all, can be thwarted by a bit of latex or a dose of hormones. I kinda wouldn't have thought that would be the case.
