In honor of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan -- which opens next week and I saw last night and is, oh my god, one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen -- herewith fake journalists: Sacha Baron Cohen, Chevy Chase, and Jeff Gannon.
And speaking of Sacha Baron Cohen, holy crap: when he’s not Borat or Ali G., he’s gorgeous:

If the laws of robotics are in place for human safety, are robots limited to safety dance?

Anyone else watching Jericho? I’m finding myself getting hooked in spite of myself, mostly because I have my suspicions about where the show might be going. (I’m gonna write about this soon at my new gig at Film.com, so stay tuned there.) Also, Skeet Ulrich is growing on me, out of sheer regular exposure; he might be the made-for-TV Johnny Depp, but I’ll take ersatz Johnny Depps wherever I can find them. So anyway, herewith dudes of the apocalypse: Stu Redman; Skeet’s Jericho character, whose name I can’t even remember; and Mad Max.

I bought this bed specially for Sam when he came to live with me two and half years ago, and he completely ignored it until this week, when suddenly it is his favorite place I hang out. Weird.

Meanwhile, Cassie and Mrs. Kennedy have always considered my bed to be a demilitarized zone, neutral ground where all may nap with impunity. Particularly once the down comforter comes out for the winter -- cozy!

Folks are wondering, in comments for the latest Geek/Dork/Nerd, about how I came to suddenly love Battlestar Galactica after being down on it for so long. Get the story here, in a posting at the new Film.com (I'm one of the site's new regular bloggers.)
Commenting isn't turned on yet at Film.com, so feel free to comment here about the BSG posting...

If it’s a big enough umbrella, why is it always me that ends up getting wet?

Battlestar Galactica returns tomorrow, and now I’m hooked. So, here’s Kara Thrace, Galen Tyrol, and Gaius Baltar. *hiss*
(Thanks to Cate for the topic suggestion.)
