are you a geek, a dork, or a nerd?

Kathy A. in comments on this week's GDN points out that there is an online Geek/Dork/Nerd test.

I took it, of course. My results:

Modern, Cool Nerd
69 % Nerd, 56% Geek, 17% Dork

Sounds about right.

I'm also a Modern, Cool Nerd: 52% Nerd, 60% Geek, 21% Dork. :)
Computer Savant 34 % Nerd, 73% Geek, 65% Dork And evidentlly I scored a higher percentage in all 3 categories then any other 21 year old male that took the quiz. So I win, kinda.

Hmm, I think I just proved my dorkiness with a double post. :\
Modern, Cool Nerd 73 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 26% Dork More dorky that I'd hoped, but at least "modern" and "cool" soften the blow.
And why did I even bother having my husband take the test? He's Pure Geek: 47% Nerd, 52% Geek, 39% Dork. (The guy in the Hawaiian shirt, carrying a man-bag filled with doo-dads that can fix any computer in a heartbeat...)
Hey that was kinda fun, my results were: Outcast Genius 73 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 69% Dork
69 % Nerd, 43% Geek, 52% Dork: Tri-Lamb Material. Sounds vaguely special. Not as cool as Outcast Genius though. You've gotta take some pride in that.
Modern, Cool Nerd 73 % Nerd, 73% Geek, 47% Dork And that's 99th percentile on all three counts, by the way....
my results: Modern, Cool Nerd 78 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 21% Dork higher than 86% on nerdiness higher than 95% on geekosity higher than 21% on dork points however, aren't the definitions somewhat "off" from this site's definitions of the terms? their definitions: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. (i'm thinking the tests, if given on this site, would determine us as high geeks, instead of nerds).
Modern, Cool Nerd 73 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 43% Dork Dorkier than I would have thought, but I guess that's part of the point...
After telling Maryann about the test, I didn't take it until just now. I rank higher in the Nerd category than I thought I would, but I was swapping the test's definitions of Geek and Nerd around in my head. Modern, Cool Nerd: 86% Nerd, 52% Geek, 47% Dork My sister called me a dork (for not the first time) after we saw Return of the King and she questioned the timing of the movie's Grey Havens scene. I quoted the book's dates from memory to answer her question, and she just looked at me witheringly and said, "You're such a dork." I replied, "I'm a geek, not a dork!"
Another MCN 78 % Nerd, 56% Geek, 21% Dork
As a 65% nerd, 43% geek, 43% dork, I am obsessing over the fact that all of these percentages are totaling way over 100 percent. Seriously, how can this be???
Apparently I'm what they call a Pure Nerd (82% Nerd, 30% Geek, 43% Dork). Which in view of some of the things I've done in real life seems more than a little ironic...
Oh, do tell, Tonio, about those non-nerdy things you've done... :->
