BUMPED UP: We have a winner! Click through to see JEAN's winning caption.

Slither

In honor of the weird-stuff-from-outer-space vibe of the way-cool, way-gross Slither, which opened today (read my review here), I'm proud to announce the first-ever Geek Philosophy giveaway contest. The winner will receive a four-book set of ooky paranormal aliens-among-us “nonfiction” paperback books:

Hair of the Alien: DNA and Other Forensic Evidence of Alien Abductions, by Bill Chalker

Project Beta: The Story of Paul Bennewitz, National Security, and the Creation of a Modern UFO Myth, by Greg Bishop

Looking for Orthon: The Story of George Adamski, the First Flying Saucer Contactee, and How He Changed the World, by Colin Bennett

Hunt for the Skinwalker: Science Confronts the Unexplained at a Remote Ranch in Utah, by Colm A. Kelleher and George Knapp

(These are all courtesy of Paraview Books, which -- full disclosure time -- is one of my copyediting/copywriting clients.)

If you’re like me -- and if you aren’t, why are you reading Geek Philosophy? -- then these are probably right up your alley, whether you believe in alien abduction and anal probing and cattle mutilation or not.

Enter by sending a funny caption to the freaky photo above. Funniest caption wins.

JEAN'S WINNING CAPTION: "Hmmmm. Anymore symptions other than bloating and gassiness?"

So..Osama, you didn't think we would find you posing as a nipple, did ya?
Guys, please follow the clearly stated rules: You have to email to enter. Captions posted here will not be considered entries.
"Would one of you guys be kind enough to hand me the remote" I know it's closed and I didn't email. I didn't like the scifi book selection anyway. Not hard enough for my tastes.
