Some folks are tired of George Lucas’s saga. I’m not one of them... but I might have to buy one of these T-shirts anyway.

Some generations express themselves through poetry; others, through song. Xers use T-shirts.

(Yeah, I’m a big ol’ Firefly dork, and I’m seriously geeked for Joss Whedon’s Serenity. But that’s a very long and very involved blog entry for another day.)

I saw one of the rough cut preview screenings of Serenity. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. Oh, and make room up on the top of your 2005 movies.
I'm with you - Love the t-shirt, but am not so in line with the anti-Lucas sentiment behind it.
Please explain to me why Firefly was the bomb. I caught 15 minutes of it and was not impressed. And yeah, I have actually only seen about 10 minutes of Buffy...why do you ask?
Firefly is, indeed, amazing, and Serenity will be as well. I'd love to see an entry on it (hey, us browncoats will take all the publicity we can find!). The fact that Serenity exists at all is pretty well in keeping with your theme here, since it's in large part only because of a great, big geek push that Mr. Geeky Wheadon got this chance to take Firefly to the big screen. And speaking of Star Wars (I'm sure we were back up there somewhere), I'm wondering if you have any plans/inclination to do an entry or review or (egads!) article on a geek's retrospective of the whole shebang, now that it's come to a conclusion? The dual reviews you wrote for Phantom Menace (on our other site) make me think you might have more to say on this subject, and I'd like to hear it (as would, I'm sure, others).
And another thing, have you noticed that no one reads T-shirts anymore? Back in the '80s, a T-shirt was part of your personal expression, a statement that caught attention. I have a collection of T-shirts with snarky slogans that used to be my emblem, my calling cards, my instant-pheremonal-communication-to-others of Who I Amand What I Am About. These days, you can walk around with a shirt that says 'F%$# You' on it, and no one even glances at it. Oh, the times they are a changin'.
This blog keeps getting better and better! First, a link to Television without Pity (a personal favorite) and the a shout-out to Firefly. Keep up the great, and thought provoking, work.
