Friday catblogging: lazy Sam

| | comments (5)

Lazysam

Sam is quite a large cat, and hence quite a lazy one. (Or perhaps it’s the other way around: his laziness created his bulk. Either way, I cry innocence: He was fat when he came to me last year, and try as I might, he won’t slim down. Because he won’t move.) He often lies on the kitchen floor right next to the water bowl, where he can drink without the bother and hassle of actually standing up.

And yes, the linoleum really is ugly, isn't it?

Good grief, that's a large cat! Wow! But I'm sure he's sweet. Even if he won't move...
Hate to tell you this, MaryAnn ... That's not a cat. That's a dustmop head.
I notice Sam got the "Glamour Shots" treatment in his first catblogging appearance, but the supermarket tabloid "Stars Without Makeup!" treatment in this one....
Sam *is* a big breed (he's a Turkish Van). And he *is* very very furry. But even taking all that into account, he's huge. This photo may be kinda mean, but I think it's hilarious. Sam is indeed extremely sweet. But those are stories for another catblogging Friday.
I'd never heard of the Turkish Van breed before. Judging by this site, Sam may be a bit atypical of his breed: "Being a very active cat, it is rare to see one walking, or even on the floor!" http://www.turkishvancatclub.co.uk/index2.htm The site does say they love water, though!
